This Shipping Policy explains how orders are processed, prepared, and delivered from Martel’s Art.

All artworks are carefully packaged to ensure they arrive safely and in excellent condition.

1. Processing Times

Processing times vary depending on the type of artwork ordered:

Ready-Made Original Artwork

Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 3–7 working days after payment has been received. This allows time to carefully hand-wrap your order with care.

Framed Artwork (Made to Order)

Framed artworks are prepared in collaboration with a local professional framer. As each frame is custom-made to order, dispatch times are estimated only and may vary depending on framing workload and materials. Customers will be informed if any significant delays occur.

Commissioned Artwork

Commission timelines are agreed individually with each client before work begins. Each commission includes a mutually agreed deadline, which will depend on the complexity of the work and current availability. I will always communicate progress throughout the creative process.

2. Shipping Methods

Orders are shipped using trusted postal and courier services, typically including Royal Mail or equivalent tracked services. Orders will be sent using tracked delivery.

3. Delivery Locations

I currently offer: UK shipping and International shipping. International delivery times may vary depending on destination and local postal services.

4. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and may vary depending on: size and weight of the artwork, framing requirements, delivery destination, and insurance/tracking requirements.

5. Customs, Duties & Import Fees

For international orders, customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or additional charges required by their country. Martel’s Art has no control over these fees and cannot estimate or cover them in advance.

6. Delivery Times

Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout; however, these are estimates only and not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to: postal service disruptions, customs processing, weather conditions, or peak seasonal demand.

7. Lost or Delayed Parcels

If your order has not arrived within the expected timeframe, please contact me at: martelsart@outlook.com I will work with the shipping provider to investigate the issue. For tracked shipments, assistance can only begin once the carrier’s tracking system shows the parcel as delayed or missing.

8. Damaged Items in Transit

All artworks are carefully packaged to minimise risk of damage. If your order arrives damaged, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery with: your order number, clear photographs of the artwork, photographs of the packaging, and a description of the damage. Each case will be assessed individually, and appropriate resolution may include repair, replacement (if possible), refund, or store credit.

9. Risk and Responsibility

Once an order has been dispatched and handed over to the postal or courier service, responsibility for delivery passes to the shipping provider. However, I remain committed to supporting customers in resolving any delivery issues wherever possible.
